ONLINE EXHIBITION OF WORD CLOUDS (COLLABORATIVE WORK)

We have four topics in our project: Numbers, Ability-Inability, Like-Dislike, and Daily Routines. Our students have learned at least 20 words related to each topic. They have done many activities using this vocabulary, and this activity is one of them. We formed mixed-country teams for the word cloud activity. Each team created one word cloud using the vocabulary from one topic. Here is our online exhibition displaying these works https://www.emaze.com/@ALFTRWRCF/learning-through-digital-tools

Kahoot was something new for them, they didn't know how much they can learn when playing a game. It was exciting to do the the game so that the others could play and play the game.

The poster was an amazing challenge. They had to chose the images and work together using a computer. Students are very curious and they like to do their best.

For the daily routines activity, the students were given a verb that expressed a daily routine. They had to take pictures and write sentences about them. Then I divided them into groups, and each group received an envelope with the photos they had taken. They arranged the photos on a large sheet of paper, then together they formulated sentences. This resulted in three posters depicting the morning, afternoon, and evening/night routines. We will upload the results to Padlet.  These are the posters my students made. There are two morning routine, two afternoon and two evening/night routine posters. I had to divide the verbs this way, because I have many students in my class and I really wanted everyone to work on the topic, as it's part of the curriculum as well.

My students enjoyed the games their friends had sent them. We used this game to review our knowledge of expressing abilities (can/can't) in English, a lesson that is part of the third-grade curriculum in our country.

For the common poem, my students had to come up with a few lines beginning with the given letters. They wrote several simple lines (in groups of 4-5, each group being given a letter), then they came to the board and shared them with their classmates. Finaly, they voted the most interesting ones to add to the common poem.

We also finished our slogans. As my class is numerous, in order for them not to feel left out, I asked them to create a slogan on canva in groups of 2 or 3. We decided as a class upon the text to be used, then they created the slogans and after that we organized a mini poll to choose the 2 slogans to be uploaded to the project. So here are our winners.

Here are our wordles. They are really addictive. After my students learned the numbers from 1 to 100, then how to create wordles, each of them received a number to turn into a wordle (so as not to risk repeating the same number). They liked it so much that they later continued creating links with other recently learned words. https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=pkvqecosmhy https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=bwwwpij   https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=awxkec https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=pvzueckbv https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=bwwwjrebv   https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=pkvogi https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=bciwjwel   https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=pkvqec https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=jwehecpvihp   https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=osmhyxuszjsx https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=owowjwajvq   https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=jweheiab https://mywordle.strivemath.com/?word=pkvqecbclu https://mywo...

Here is our bulletin board. Since the entire project is based on digital tools, we felt it necessary to talk about online safety and netiquette. Together, we formulated a few rules that the students wrote down on the project board. They also decorated the remaining space with pictures of digital tools.

The partner schools created two mind maps together. One of them is for the activities our students like doing and the other one is for the activites they don't like doing. We believe that this activity is very helpful for our students to get to know each other better. With this activity, ı also saw that some activites which are liked by most of the students can be disliked by the others. Here are my students' "likes and dislikes"

My students created a Baamboozle game using vocabulary related to the ‘likes and dislikes’ topic. They hope that the partner students will enjoy the game as much as they do :)
