Kahoot was something new for them, they didn't know how much they can learn when playing a game. It was exciting to do the the game so that the others could play and play the game.
For the daily routines activity, the students were given a verb that expressed a daily routine. They had to take pictures and write sentences about them. Then I divided them into groups, and each group received an envelope with the photos they had taken. They arranged the photos on a large sheet of paper, then together they formulated sentences. This resulted in three posters depicting the morning, afternoon, and evening/night routines. We will upload the results to Padlet. These are the posters my students made. There are two morning routine, two afternoon and two evening/night routine posters. I had to divide the verbs this way, because I have many students in my class and I really wanted everyone to work on the topic, as it's part of the curriculum as well.
My students wrote sentences about their morning and afternoon routines on the Padlet titled ‘Our Students’ Morning and Afternoon Routines.’ They mostly worked in pairs. They are also curious about the partner students’ routines. We believe that this activity gives our students the opportunity to get to know each other better. My students wrote sentences about their evening and night routines on the Padlet titled ‘Our Students’ Evening and Night Routines.’ They mostly worked in pairs. They are also curious about the partner students’ routines. We believe that this activity gives our students the opportunity to get to know each other better.
